The baddies got in to my van a couple of days ago. The van is in my back garden but obscured from the house. There is an external PIR that switches a light on anybody coming up to the side gate of my garden.

They forced the door and stole a few things but fortunately didn't do too much damage. I'm thinking of an audible alarm as the security light only works at night.

Anybody have any experience with internal PIR detectors and audible which are set from a remote control? Would you also use one in an awning?

Have you thought of either an alarm or a lock for the back gate at your house? If the van is kept safe from intruders, you will not need to worry about it being broken in to.
