our new vans spare is brand new still has the label on it.the tyres on the van look ok but for my own piece of mind am going to swap one for the new spare and get another new one.
what torque do the caravan wheel nuts get tightened to after i swap them over?ive heard its a bit tighter than car tyres.

It depends on whether your wheels are alloy.  Mine are steel and I have a figure of 88Nm written down.  I don't remember where this figure came from though.

Mine are alloy and always Torque to 110 as per the handbook and dealer advice. Use the Halford Torque Wrench

88NM is correct for Steels...its in the Caravan Club Manouvering Course Handbook.

M12 BOLTS = 88Nm or 65 ft lbs / M10 = 49Nm or 36 ft lbs / M14 = 135Nm or 99.5 ft lbs / M16 = 210 Nm or 155 ft lbs.
