I am new to caravanning myself but everyone said the same thing to me when I was looking at caravans - DAMP and DELAMINATION!!! Check for these very carefully.
I bought a 41 year old 2 berth van and I'm delighted with it - very strudy but light and no damp. It was a bargain £450!!

We have just sold our Abbey Vogue GTS 416 4 berth 2000 at £4000,(I now know we sold it under priced)we were offered £2800 from the dealer, we had 5 people after the van, and sold it 14 hours after the advert went on preloved, 10 year old vans are selling for about 4500-5000+ from a dealers £5995+.
Our Abbey was immaculate, there are vans out there in very good condition, take your time, and take a damp meter.

2 berths sell cheaper than 4 berths. 2 berths bought by couples with more money, but most 2nd hand buyers are families with less money needing 4 or 5 berths. Supply & demand. So a 2000 2 berth could go for 3K
