Its a minefield buying a secondhand one too, make sure you see the label showing the size . I've seen some on ebay that say, FITS 15-16 ft van etc .. no good you need the actual size to be sure it really will fit.
For example , the van i bought , they said theres a full awning and porch awning with 2 annexes , WRONG , there was a porch with 1 annexe and a further 2 annexes that dont fit the porch or the full awning.
You also need to be sure that ALL the poles are there , if they have used the awning they should know which goes where and be able to set it out on the ground, showing you which are the roof poles , the legs, the centre and 2 corner brackets and the 2 for across the front .
Oh i'm so pleased your "Bailey" was the One even if she is a Swift lol. Bet you are feeling really relieved now that at long last the search is over!
When we were looking 2 years ago with a £2000 budget the Challenger was on my list of 'vans i would buy. It's a lovely looking 'van. Can't help with the awning size but as it's got a porch have you thought about trying it with just that this year just to see if you really need a full awning. If you do get one then make sure its a 4/5 piece awning as they are so much easier to put up with the front and side sections zipped off.
We have a full awning but hate having to put it up so this year bought a porch awning. It's nowhere near as spacious as the full but for a weekend is fine. You might find that you won't need a full awning?
Anyway i'm so pleased that you've finally joined us :)
Good point , I have used a porch awning for the first time this weekend and found it was a doddle to erect compared to a full awning , mine has a tall annnexe too, but I think for a weekend it will be ample on its own .
I take the grandchildren with me and would normally use a full awning and have inner tents up in it for extra sleeping areas .(didn't have them this weekend )
The ease the porch went up has swayed me into thinking I may never use the full awning , unless the whole family decide to dump their kids on me .
We always use a full awning it's a doddle to put up - less than 20 minutes and you get so much extra room to use I don't think we could ever manage with a porch awning not even for a weekend
Were used to putting up a huge 7.5 meter by 3 meter tent (usually done in under 30 mins) so figure an awning would be as quick if not quicker and like you RC I like the idea of the extra room.
Gonna have a look at a local dealers as I know when they get vans in for part ex they sell the awnings seperatley.

Shaz , you know me, I like BIG tents ,I am shocked and surprised that the porch was big enough for a weekend .
Runecaster , which awning do you use ?
I must say the apache was very quick to put up ,as most of the poles are pre connected .
The full awnings we've had in the past have taken about an hour to erect .
I think the TRIO full awning we have with the van will take a good while to put up too.
According to the Isabella website its 904 so does that mean I need the 900-924 size or can you go bigger?
