it is a shame but when they are as old as that things do start to happen.
would the farm let you put it somewhere safer. if not i would find somewhere else to keep it.
most damp is repairable but it costs a lot and is usually on going.
you can pick up some reasonable vans these days but buying oldish second hand are always risky. unless you know someone that is selling something in good condition.
