The extra width will make for more spacious floorplans. My caravan is 250 cm wide but the same model as mine a year earlier was slightly narrower. That extra 20-some-odd cms is definitely noticeable and more comfortable. However, it will have an impact on the fuel economy due to the additional wind resistance caused by the larger frontal area.

With this expecting to become law in March this year it will be interesting to see how domestic manufacturers respond, especially with the move to lighter vans on offer.

Thanks. If buying a large Hobby now is the time to buy as at present you do not pay VAT on them. Also I can see second hand prices on tghe wider hobbys raising once the regulation has been approved.
