There appears to be a bargain 2006 Adria 532LT 4 berth on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Adria-Adiva-532-LT-2006-Caravan_W0QQitemZ260477983026QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Campers_Caravans_Motorhomes?hash=item3ca5b29932&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 - a classified ad not an auction, at just £3,850 with all the following equipment: Dorema Blue awning, aquaroll and wastemaster, 2 gas bottles, mains water adaptor kit, 2 hook up cables, wheel clamp, motor mover and all pots and pans. Also with Thiefbeater Tracker, Cris registration, electronic tag and microdots!!! All paperwork is supplied - and it all appears to be genuine. However, like all these 'too good to be true adverts' anyone interested ought to be on their guard.
The seller appears to have genuine feedback going back quite a long way, and this is the first thing they appear to have sold rather than bought - so perhaps it is genuine.
We've just bought a brand new sun canopy worth £145 plus for £27, and a brand new Bailey chest of drawers, worth £275 for just £50 from ebay - so there are some bargains to be had. I just thought this one could be a really good buy for someone who is wise enough to check out whether or not it actually is genuine. NB I have no connection to the seller at all
its either a hell of a bargain or very dodgy.there was something similar on last weekend, cant remember the exact details as my head was a shed with looking for a replacement for our senator but it was only 4 years old and under £5k with awning and mover etc.
I smell a rat , i have just had an e-mail of the supposed seller saying they are out of town (Leicester) so viewing is not available but will deliver to my address after payment I was interested not for myself but for my brother in law is van hunting however wont be following this one up
i have had second e-mail saying that to start transaction i must give my name and and address to the seller , lodge the funds with Ebay , and they will deliver the van to me and once delivery is confirmed Ebay will release the money to the seller , sorry but theres no way i'm parting with cash before seeing in the van .
They must think i came up the Clyde in a banana boat
The person selling on ebay probably does not even know they are selling a caravan. This happened to my husband a few years ago, his ebay account was fradauntly used to sell stuff (un beknown to him) and he only discovered this when he logged into his account one day. Needless to say ebay apologised and his account was restored to how it was before the hackers took over it.
Ebay is not as safe as it makes out to be, having said that we have purchased and sold lots of things through ebay and have only had a couple of problems in the past.
Have e-mailed the seller again saying i am interested and why can i not view first as they obviously have a person to deliver so the same person could let me see the van and guess what NO REPLY ....
My mate was watching something on ebay a while back at a supposed to good to be true bargain. They wanted to do a transacton through moneygram which isn't part of ebay even though the link they sent had ebay plastered all over it funnily enough the listing ended as soon as my mate mailed them saying he smelt a rat.
its a con then. a couple of years ago i was interested in buying an old escort mexico that was dirt cheap and after contacting the seller i was told that i couldnt view it as they were away but if i paid by western union money transfer they would deliver it to my house.
yeah right.
some days later i was emailed by ebay informing me the item was withdrawn due to suspicious activity.
Anyone heard of Vehicle Purchase Protection Scheme that is run through Ebay as the seller is supposedly signed up for this which allows the cash to exchange through Ebay until transaction is finalized and the goods are excepted by the purchaser This has to be a scam
I thought it sounded too good to be true. There were several last year, where the seller was supposed to 'working in Madrid' and would get his brother to deliver it. Not a chance, sorry - but at least it may alert the seller that people know it's a dodgy deal!
I've now reported it to ebay - hopefully it will be removed, as the others were last year.
when i was looking for my first van recently i had the same sort of things happen from ads on here, seller working away, shipping company will deliver blah blah blah, i mailed admin the emails i received and the ads were promptly removed, the sellers had no posts and no reviews
