Whilst on holiday with friends, some sockets in their van (a Swift) stopped working. I checked it out for them and found, in a cupboard, a 3-pin connector had come apart. They had the van new, so it must have been as manufactured. Also, the male pins were hollow and segmented. To get a properly fitting contact, I had to push a pointed tool in from the end to 'spread' the pins slightly.
If all the sockets arent working it definitely sounds like a fuse. Alternately, in our van, there are 3 seperate switches 1 for hot water, I for sockets and I cant remember what the other one is for (senior moment) Check one of those isnt switched off.

I too have just been to my van in a cleaning and checking capacity. Tried the microwave and no power ,do I tried each and every socket and also no power. The fuse list states #6 fuse 10amp. The fuse was fine but exchanged for s new one but still no power. I hooked up to the car and again no socket power.
All the lights work and the radio works. Fridge work too.
Can't understand what's going on and we are going away at the end of march. Can anyone shed some light? Regards Phil ,Bear2k11

Considering that all the sockets are 240v, you are plugged into the mains, aren't you?
No I was not hooked up to mains. So I can't use power draining devices from the battery power? Never tried anything before in the sockets other than when hooked up at sites.
230v devices only work on 230v. 12v devices are powered by the battery. I was confused when you said the fridge was working, it won't work on 12v unless you are towing and then it will only maintain the temperature, it will not cool the fridge.
Totally makes sense now. Only used caravan last summer so I'm a novice.
Fixed pump in loo which died over winter.
Solar panel wiring connection came apart behind microwave oven cabinet. It's like home from home with DIY projects. Loving it though. Thank you .
