We have recently bought a Fiamma Caravanstore and just wanted to ask a quick question!
We store our caravan at a site 30mins from our house so if it rains when we're out and the caravanstore gets wet it would be very difficult to take it off to get it dry etc.
Can this item be put away wet or will it go mouldy?

Dampness does not seem to affect them , i rolled ours away wet and did not use it again for 6 months and it was ok
Whatever you do don't let Bailey find out you are using one of them. When we went to buy one for our Sancerre we were told by Bailey that it would invalidate their warranty. I'd suggest taking it off before sending the van for service.
We often have to roll it up wet, but when we get home, if we are not going away for a bit, we unroll it to dry on a sunny day.
If we will not be using the van for a while (e.g. over the winter) we normally remove the Fiamma and keep it in the loft. As much for safekeeping as anything else. We always ensure it is dry first, we don't need puddles in the loft!
Ours is a 3.6 metre, it is fairly easy to take off/put on with 2 people.

"I have used one of these for 4 years, always on Baileys. It stays on the van at all times, including though service. The loads these apply to the awning rail are minimal compared to those of my old isabella awning with 7 roof poles and tensioned with a hercules. Also the weight from the caravanstore is 90 deg to the screws whilst the conventional awning is in line with the screws. In my 23 years of caravanning I have never heard of a new van leaking anlong the side seam. The leaks are always around the front and rear panels or windows. Caravan companies are always wary to accept new accessories but if enough of us use them they have to fall in line."

Hi.
I agree, I never take my 4.4 mtre.Caravanstore canopy off, apart from anything else it is too bloody big to take off.

Our Stirling Europa did. At only 4 years old it was a write-off, with the damp on both sides of the van. The damp was visible as 2 horizontal lines on either side of the van on the inside, about a third and two thirds of the way up. The front and the back were OK.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
