Hi, I'm new to the club and on my second trip out I realised that water wasn't making it from the aqua roll into to the caravan. Instead, it was gushing onto the ground beneath. Should this longer pipe slot into the shorter one?
I don't think so.
They look like drainage pipes for draining down the water system and possibly an overflow from the heater.
Double check your drain valve is actually closed and your intake pipe is actually in the water and not floating or hard against the bottom or side.
If you have the user manual that should come with the van, best refer to that.
I doubt that any pipes hanging under the van need joining to any other pipes. There are likely at least one open ended pipe that is a drain down outlet. Cold and hot water plumbing is normally inside the van to give frost protection.
You will have 2 plastic pipes hang down from the floor. One is from the drain down valve and the other comes of the Red outlet connection top of the water heater. This Red outlet allows air to go back in when draining. But when pump fills heater this should seal. If there is limescale inside and it does not seat water will pour out the small plastic tube going through the floor. Sometimes this Red outlet breaks inside, then it will need replacing. I have always carried a spare for over 30 years after having one fail.
As well is two words!
