hi im new to caravaning wheres the best place to store the awning i was thinking of of the front where the gas bottles go?

it will make your nose weight to much in the van over the axle is the best for weight distrubution awnings can be quit heavy

Awning's can weigh up to 40kgs depending on size and type of poles you have. If it is a large one then in the middle of the caravan over the axle would be best.

Yes, would agree that it shoulkd go over the axle, our awning is surprisingly heavy.

In addition you need a dry place to store the awning otherwise you can have problems with mildew, I have never yet found a front locker that is water proof. My awning travels in the middle of the floor over the axle and lives in y garage when I get it home.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Our full awning travels in the car.  The porch awning lives in the caravan, over the axle.
