I have been reading all the posts on here but none seem to answer my question. We bring our new to us sterling elite twin axle 1750kg home next week.It has to go right next to the fence on a narrow sloping drive, with a tightish corner at the top.We used to do the last bit by hand with the old van,but obviously won't be able to do it with the new one.I've looked at all the movers all promise to do the same.I would like to know in your opinion which one to go for.Not which is better than the other but which will do the job I need.I was looking at the Rhyno, but on one of the threads it mentions needing to be able to get both sides which we cant do.Any info please??

If you have a tight corner you will need a 4 wheel mover on a twin....Reich or Powertouch....especially if it's also on a slope.

We have a Truma TE on ours, you need to do quite a bit of shuffling back and forward to turn, but we have plenty of space.

You will also need one where you can put it on from one side, or one with the electric engagement like ours has.

If you will not have access to both sides of the van to engage or disengage the mover then you will need a mover with either manual actuation from one side or one with automatic activation via your remote control.

I have only ever had Powrtouch movers ( two in total) last one had manual from one side, current one is automatic. So I believe a Powrtouch would meet your needs. That is not to say a Truma or Reich would not suffice but I have no experience of them so couls not say whether they offer the activation you need.

The top of the drive is wide and will have no problem with the turn.It just needs to be parked at the side of the house where there is not much room to get by so needs to be right up to the fence.Do you have to ask for it to be manual from one side or automatic.Do you have to pay more for these things?

We did a small survey recently, and the only mover which got criticised was the Rhyno, or more accurately the after-sales support.

If you are SURE you will have plenty of room to manoeuvre round the turn then the 2 wheel Truma will do. It comes with the electric engagement. It does take a lot more room to turn the twin axle than our previous single axle.

I think we paid £1495 fitted, we had ours done by our dealer as we cannot get the van on the drive without the Mover as it has to go hitch first.

We did not get the 4 wheel Reich one because of the weight, it takes too much from the payload. It also has less ground clearance.

discover have the truma 4 wheel on fitted for 1495 at the moment try david at leisure-supplies.co.uk he is very good price match if needed but he comes to you to fit!!! he supplies all makes i have powrtch and now have a twin axle and will hbe sticking to powrtch through choice but again have not tried any of the others!!! i think powrtch auto engage is around 300-350 extra on top of price but sure he give the single sided manual engagement as standard you would need 2 for 4 wheel mover

I'm all confussed again now.I rang for some info on the TRUMA TE,the man said the POWRTOUCH would be better for us.Have been having a look and  most places are saying you have to buy the auto engage separeatly. Is this so.The man I spoke to said it was all one unit for the 4wd model. Is this right?
