I already have a trolley jack which I have used (precariously) to jack up my caravan when I have needed to change a wheel.

Last week however I spotted the Ko-Jack levelling kit and realised that if you could buy the brackets separately (these are bolted into the existing holes of an Al-Ko chassis) I could simply leave these fitted and have a much better jacking point and do the levelling as well by dropping the levelling blocks under the wheel without spending a lot of money.

Checked with the company and unfortunately they don't (won't) sell the brackets separately on their own....

my question is does anyone know if you can get these brackets or similar from another dealer. I am even considering going down to Halfords this weekend and measuring up the brackets for size and thickness and try and get a local merchant (if one exists in this day and age) to make them for me.

Any suggestions??

I've been thinking about getting some brackets welded up to fit on ours, I've got an old bottle jack in the garage that'll take up less space than our trolley jack. Our new van will have shock absorbers on it & I don't know until I see them whether they'll make life difficult for getting at the axle with the trolley jack. I'll get some made rather than pay £30 for them though.

Thanks for the reply Gazza, looks exactly was looking for - not having the tools or facilities to make my own, these being a "proprietary" build quality should do the job safely.

These ones are a bit pricey however at £35 incld P&P as you can buy the whole Kojack levelling kit for £60 at Halfords.....I would however then end up with two jacks!!
