Don't know if this has been discussed before as I'm from the other side!! But this weekend I stumbled across a company that hire out caravans for you to tow and take where you like, they come fully equipped with awnings as well. Not a bad price either! the website is www.devonandcornwallcaravanhire.com.

May be of some help to somebody.

Looked into this a few years ago.

When you add up the extra costs it is usually cheaper to rent a static or lodge.

£290 for a week in high season. Add on another £150+ for a pitch.

Decided it was not suitable for us.

Ideal if you want to try caravanning before purchasing your own outfit.
