But need VIN to get plates   
Where would vin be?

On the chassis plate, either on the A frame or riveted to the chassis underneath.


Need the VIN to get plates? What country is that?

Hi,
I am in Canada and I bought it with without a registration for it.
You need the registration here to get a license plate.
The trailer is pretty stripped down.
I cannot find anything on the A frame.
I did find this on the ball hitch catch...

No it wont be on the hitch that connects to a ball.

It will be on an aluminium plate with the chassis number stamped onto it.

On the A-Frame most likely...
