If I could work out how to post pictures on here I'd put a couple of piccies of our Wonderful Milenco clamp on after the diddies had removed it to nick our van on march the 1st this year. The thing was twisted off like toffee, IMO, they used something like a pair of stilsons and a steel tube to bend it off. How the devil the rubbish is insurance approved is beyond me.
I was told by a dealer that the Bulldog TITAN is the better one out there apart from the AL-KO lock. I elected to have our van adapted to take the AL-Ko lock, I also concreted large RSJ into the ground & I hitch the van to this, it was costly but, coupled with leglocks & the AL-KO lock I'm happy that it'll stay on my drive now.
If it goes again I'll give up caravanning.

First one I bought was meant to fit through the holes in the wheel. Unfortunately I didn't know at the time I bought it - knowing nothing about clamps - and when we removed the wheel trim, it didn't have any holes!
Returned it and bought a Milenco. Our van is sited so we only have to play with it once or twice a year and we can never remember which bit goes where at first, its like the Krypton Factor. OH soon figures it out though.

I could email you pictures of our twisted milenco Scuba & you could post them, they had it off the van under our open bedroom window without making a sound. The Al-Ko should stump them though, i hope!!

Was it the standard Milenco wheelclamp ? They have a Mega Wheelclamp which has a concrete mix that you insert after buying into the tubular steel . Anyway you are sorted now with the alko secure wheel lock.

Hi you seem to have been given plenty of advice, re-your original question Milenco or Bulldog QD44 I have used both and currently still use the QD44 and find it much easier then the Milenco to fit, I am not saying one is better than the other but from my experience I prefer the QD44, good luck and welcome the the forum, Roy.
Hi again re-the Red unit Im not 100% sure but beleive you have to have an Alko Chassis for that to fit, also Bulldog do a variant of the same but not had any dealings with either good luck, Roy.

You have to have a receiver bracket put on your axle. We neeed to buy a pair of aluminium wheels and the lock to go with the receiver. After looking at the Al-Ko web site, I see they offer a retro kit but I'm ot certain if it's only for their axles/Chassis.

Yes, ours was the standard clamp. If they're selling one with cocrete in it it'll probably be harder to get off but ours must have almost jumped off on its own. I might buy a Bulldog Titan for the other wheel while it's on the drive & just the Al-Ko lock for holiday use on its own.
