Hi, I have a 2.2 dti Vectra and have towed a compass omega 500/4 1350kgs for two years, the fuel consumption is between 30 and 33 mpg according to the on board computer, I do most of my towing in Wales and so is mountainous, however on motorway driving it never does more than 33mpg, if I'd read this post earlier I would have said go for a 4 x 4, they are a dream on the road safe and relaxing and no worries on wet sites, but having said that the Vectra will tow fine, mines a 2001 and Ive had it 5 years with no problems so hope yours serves you as well,
Regards
Steve
