Naturally, it's the weights which I am most concerned about - anyone any idea of them?? Also could do with knowing the correct tyre pressures too as I think I may have a slow puncture in one of them.

they are really light something like under 750kg gross, the plate is in 1 of 3 places. beside the door, just inside the door or on the A-frame

if you get stuck pete the dealer I bought my van from used to be a silverline dealer and he still repairs and maintaisn a couple so will annoy him of your behalf

my book has one in it

SILVERLINE nova vanden plas - 1987

length = 11ft / width = 5ft.6in / unladen weight = 11 cwt / max gross / 15.7 cwt /

two berth micro van. says others to consider,Nova grande and vanden plas.

built on al-ko chassis.has a retractable step.

how to identify = chassis plate on the drawbar gives the year.ie.first two digits.

so is that around 790 kg max gross? sounds quite heavy for a small micro van?

only reason I ask is that I'm also quite interested in buying one!

What cc car would be happy towing one of these?

Thanks :)

I'd say most cars of 1.4 size or heavier. But check the max tow weight given by the manufacturer as some may not be up to it.

Thanks BC. I presently have a 1.6cc Honda Civic Auto, but it's very low, so considering the smaller and micro vans. Not keen on the Freedoms, but I like the look of the Silverlines... What I'd really like is a Kip Kompakt, but they are rare as hens teeth!

Hi,

Mine is Silverline Nova Princess, 1989-1990. Searched all exterior and interior for serial number and no luck.
Maybe some of the Silverline owners could help describing how serial number looks like (how many letters and numbers)?

Obviously where is no VIN code, just serial no. as it's up to 1992 make.
Desperate for registration and insurance, thinking of reprinting VIN plate somehow... Any ideas?

We have a Silverline Nova Princess GT same year as yours.

Our number is underneath the 'van engraved on the chassis. I got a damp cloth & starting at the hitch, wiped along both sides of the 'A' frame right underneath the van and found it.

Hey!
I spend all day under caravan and unfortunately there is no numbers on mine :( I'm afraid I'll need to improvise mine to register.

Maybe you know your caravan:
Gross vehicle weight
Unladen weight
And how serial number looks like? (how many numbers, does it has letters)?

I would appreciate your help.
