Geat news, hope you really enjoy your new van,we have recently spent a week away(local) in our first van(upgraded from trailer tent) and personally I found it easier to reverse than the trailer tent and towing it wasn't to bad either, so much so that it doesn't have a stabiliser on it yet and I don't see the hurry to get one

Don't forget about the extra HEIGHT!  I almost sliced the top off our first caravan by driving into a car park with a height restriction barrier, narrowly avoided when my wife shouted STOP!!!

I'm getting the towbar fitted on Friday after a bit of too-ing and fro-ing between fitters - first one could not supply the swan neck i asked for and wanted over £200 more for a detachable (got reversing sensors), now going with indespension for the detachable who were nearly £100 cheaper.  We couldn't find anyone who could fit a fixed swan neck tat did not interfere with the sensors.

Might try to get way somewhere for Saturday night.  Somewhere fairly local just to try it all out!  Maybe Kinross or there abouts.

we picked up the caravan yesterday and spent our first night at Beescraigs, linlithgow.
on leaving the dealers place my driver side ext. mirror fell of a cracked. so had to drive to the site without it. The dealer (4 point leisure) is very close to Ibrox stadium so we had to tow through the football crowd before we got to the motorway - this was abit stressful as they were just spilling out onto the road in front of me. So a bit of shouting and swearing we were on the motorway which was pretty straight forward.

Had a deisel injector spewing fuel onto the engine which started smoking after about 20 miles so had to stop a couple of times for that.

Then had the big climb up to the campsite (wish i'd know about it before i booked it). i would not recommend it as a first tow as it up a winding road up a hill with speed bumps for about the first mile.

Was a bit difficult doing the first reverse into the pitch but managed in the end.

The drive home to the caravan storage went without drama and even reversing it into our bay was pretty easy compared to trying to get into the pitch.

We did have an issue with the mains hook up tho.

We couldn't get anything powered by it. had to run on battery all the time. The only sign of activity from the EHU was the mains polarilty light illuminating. Tried the three settings in the hook up box but 2 did nothing, one lit the polarity light.

Tired all setting on the battery switch - switched to van, all lights etc work, switched to off got nothing and obviously switched to car got nothing.

Neither the pump or charge switches lit up as it says in the manual for the electric board. but the pump did work.

any ideas?
