There's 2 mounting holes each side on the alko chassis to the rear of the axle where the Kojack brackets fit. Alko wheel carriers and (I'm told) movers leave these clear. If they are your ready to Kojack, and its a brilliant gadget I located one brand new for £59 and its worth every penny.
I aked my dealer to fit one at service, as I believed it to be good for purpose. I was told that they could not because of the (Reich) mover.
I see they are advertising the new lightweight Kojack which uses the same brackets but is a 2 stage bottle jack
The Kojack fits the X Trail side mounting points and fits into the jack storage space in the car boot after removimg the polystyrene and so only one jack needs to be carried for car and van
You do have to be very careful with the Kojack that it is securely fitted to the receivers as twice mine has flirted out sideways
I have now modified the brackets by adding fronts/rears to them so that it can only be under the ridge that fits into the jack slot. That could really do with having been made bigger
You can see on the pic below how the brackets are made with an open front/rear
I don't find the levelling feature much help as you need to allow for the settling of the suspension after removing the jack

Hi Kevin,
I have Reich movers on my van. When I first had the Reich movers they were fitted to an Abbey Spectrum and the dealer asked me if I wanted the optional Reich brackets fitting, so that we could still use the Alko side jack, which I accepted.
When I bought the Buccaneer last year, I was also given a new Kojack, and being a retired mechanical engineer I decided to see if I could modify the brackets, which was something that turned out to be very simple indeed. All I had to do was cut the bottom plates off the Kojack side brackets, then using the Reich/Alko ones as a template I just drilled the Kojack plate to match the Alko one and bolted them back onto the rear movers. Job done and it works perfectly.

Our tourer days are over and we have moved on to a Hobby Motorhome
how are you enjoying your caravel ..any niggly problems or down points to it as i'm thinking of buying one february at the show.. a reply or e-mail would be most appreciated FM02 MZO thanks in advance
errm.. sorry to highjack the thread iluvhippos but this is the first time i spotted anyone with a caravel so i just had to jump in and ask ..i take a trolleyjack on tour as well i should say ...
I've had my old trolley jack for years, it was bought to work on my cars & when the caravan came along it became part of the furniture. It was used for three wheel changes on the way home from holidays over the years & used to level the van regularly.
One man told me he'd rather carry it's weight in cans of lager but, that's down to the individual, I know what I'd rather carry.
I decided the old one was looking tatty & bought a new one which was on offer in a discount store, it was smaller than my old one so I thought it would be handy. The first time I used it here, it went back in the box & was returned for a rfund. It was stamed to lift a ton but, due to the short jack, you simply couldn't pump it up.
My old one is a Two ton jack from Halfords. It's brilliant, I can jack up everything i've got here with it. Sorry to waffle on but, make sure you buy one you can use without getting a hernia, some aren't worth the space they take up.
I just bagged a Kojack on ebay for £38 as new so they are out their, i used to use a normal trolly jack, but found it too heavy for the wife as she does tow on her own sometimes.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
