another problem is closing curtains/blinds gives potential theives the idea something is hidden
Do you leave all your locker and cupboard doors wide open, too, just in case potential thieves suspect there's something hidden in them? It's all a compromise, isn't it?
We close the curtains when it's in storage. Biggest problem there is nosey beggars, not potential thieves! As for the rooflight, the flyscreen is undertension, but the blind is not, so we shut the blind, not the screen.

------------- * You never know where you're going 'til you get there...
michael - Read my post! Nine years of leaving blinds down, in storage, and in transit, hasn't damaged ours at all! The blinds are just standard Swift blinds, and we've had no problem with the tension, or any sort of damage. The only incident was when my little nephew played with the front large blind, and broke off the plastic handle. We got another free of charge from our local caravan dealer.
i have been on this site from 2002 and have read of lots and lots of blinds not returning due to tension problems.guess you were lucky in that respect.all these people had left the blinds down in storage.like this one
ive just serviced a hymer , the bilnds were closed in september last year , 9 blinds in total , only 3 would open , one was a ventian style blind
