I don't see how concertina blinds keep out more light than the straight ones!
Concertina ones as you say, have pin holes, so when extended will let light in.
From the outside you can see through these if you put your eye right up to them and the light is on in the van.
Our friends have these in their van and we tried it for an experiment. Not perverts you understand lol.
