Nick just do a search on here and you will find it is actual members who have had bad experiences with E&L not "friends or somebody I know".I once phone for a quote as soon as i Mentioned that the Van was stored on a working farm (locked Barn behind locked gates the list of exemptions and exclusions that they would not cover was huge , Camping and caravan club insurance cheaper and more comprehensive. E&L not a company I will use or recommend

There is a warning up on the wall of our local horse tack shop after one horse owner lost out badly after they failed to pay up. I have never seen warnings like this with any other insurance company. I have seen posts on here from members with bad experiences with them.

Are they the company which charges 13 x lunar monthly payments carefully hidden instead of the normal 12 x calendar monthly payments?

Hi I phoned E&L this morning complained ,so cut a long story short ,they reduced the premium by £60 deleted my credit card details ,and promised to reimburse the difference,in future they will send me a renewal so I can pay by cheque.

ps they did not have an email adress for me,I never recieved a renewal ,they just took the money.I did not post this to start a discussion on their merits but just as a warning ,it seems a lot of companys are doing this kind of thing.Anyway I am happier now than I was yesterday. 4teejay

Yes I found that out when I changed insurers. The old one took my money cos they heard nothing.I played hell and they said it was too late to stop my payment(?).Played hell with greater threats and they stopped the dip into my account . They later refunded the payment they had not taken.Serves them right.Of course I kept it.
