We have had a Trio awning, a Dorema, a Bradcot, a Ventura (who are made under licence to Isabella, not by Isabella, I believe)
Ventura is "part of the Isabella Group". We have one, and found the quality to be not as hot as we'd hoped, but maybe ours was a "Friday afternoon" model.

thanks very much for the super posts. DSB, you were so right about which awning! We've looked at every single one mentioned and learnt along the way something about the poles, weight and style. I am rather taken with the Isabella Opus as mentoned by erroutdoors fab post, although my husband is not so taken with the lolly needed for it. He is fancying the Dorema, esp with the deal on discount as above kindly pointed out by Jaiash. But I guess, not knowing an awful lot about awnings, the Isabella sounds like the best, in the long run, quality wise.
We have decided to get a porch too- we will be doing quick getaways without the kids and will probably plump for the road tested Kampa Fiesta 390, thank you DSB for your advice.
Now , I keep reading about the Pegasus and probs with the windows plus awnings and this business about gas lockers, please can someone spell it out, I dont understand !
Hi diablo. I have just written a detailed post answering all your questions and then the computer crashed and I lost it. Don't have time to answer it again as full now as I need to finish packing the van - we are away in the next couple of hours. I'm sure there will be those who will either fill in the gaps, and those who will offer their advice.
Basically, if I had the money, I would go with the Isabella awning, fibre poles. Unless Dorema have changed their poles in the last couple of years, we found them inferior and with a large awning we had some slight (temporary) bending of poles when the awning was up and one pole actually split slightly. There shouldn't be a problem with awnings on the Peggy. I believe Isabella have looked at the issue more than most, but I can't recall anyone on hear having major problems with an awning on here. Kampa Fiesta 390:
There were problems with some windows produced on 2009 vans of all makes, because of the double glazing gap being too small, and rubbing together due to the force against the window when travelling. These have been/ will be sorted out under warranty. Problem probably won't happen with a 2010 Peggy.
Lockers: the Peggy locker at the front is really 3 seperate lockers. Many like a big single locker which is what most vans have. You've never had a big single locker, so you are unlikely to miss it. There has been discussion about the nose weight of the Peggy, which is higher than that acceptable on most cars when the van has no personal equipment in. If you put all the heavy items under the fixed double, because it is just behind the axle, this should help carrect the problem.
Sorry this is shorter than my 'original' attempt to explain, but caravan packing calls!
