On returning home yesterday from West Wales along the M54 around the Telford area, i caught up with another Caravan being towed in the direction of the M6, i must say i was a bit alarmed of how bad it was crabbing with lots of swinging on the back end, i'm not sure if the driver was aware of this but he wasn't hanging about either, just thought i would mention this just on the off chance he may see this post and get the van checked out, i tried to get his attention but he was going a bit too quick for me to get along side of him and juncton 3 is where i get off, for all the experts on here what would of been the cause of the Caravan to behave in such a manner.
Hi, Maybe it was stollen and in hurry to get it out of site asap
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
I have seen pictures of the clamps they use, 2 big steel plates with 4 long threaded bars. These will fit over most hitchlocks, Saving them time of trying to remove them.
This could put the hitch off centre whilst towing.
I know thieves aren't always the brightest bulbs, but if I'd just nicked several thousands of pounds worth of caravan the very last thing I'd do with it is drive it at 70mph, sideways, up the motorway!
