The legal bit says that you have to know if the trailer flasheres AREN'T working, so with the Canbus system, if that has been programmed to "read" the trailer, the bulb warning light will show if they're not!!
So it is legal.

Fair enough. But it is easy to see from this that as more and more Canbus equipped vehicles are bought second hand that it will confuse a lot of people by there not being anything until there is a fault.

Just a matter of keeping up with technology I guess (he says from his mobile phone )!
