tee hee. what a laugh, i cant forget anything, we have everything with us all year, we full time and have everything we need but we recently sold all our house and all our belongings and found that we did need some of the stuff after all so have had to go out buying stuff after having a big boot sale and getting rid of the stuff I thought we wouldnt need!!!
I do a colour co-ordinated list with his and hers stuff on it; e.g. his stuff all big, heavy essentials (tent/stove/awning/chairs) etc in the garage and all my indoor stuff in various places round the house - food/sleeping bags/torches/cutlery etc It all seems to work very well but despite this anal list of mine, one of us always forgets something! Camera this weekend and the board games, the ketchup, gloves......... then our tent blew down and we had to come home early!
Ok folks......not too sure if this has ever happend to you but here goes...OH forgot the CARAVAN KEYS. Got all the way to site and then drove all the way home. Set off bright and early (again) the next morning with keys this time, rather shortend our long weekend. What shouls a wife do?????. lol.
My stepdad had drovew from Barnsley in South Yorkshire to Yarmouth, all was well, they went for a long walk along the sea front, returned to the van,,,,,,,he had lost his van keys and didnt have a spare set with him, they tried to re-trace their steps to no avail. Friendly carravanners also tried to help by trying thier keys,,,,,,,didnt work !!! tried to force the windows,,,,didnt work !!! they were on the verge of driving home (6 hour return trip) when the site owner came over with a large bunch of left keys,,,,,eventually one fitted their van, and with abit of brute force the van was opened,,,,,,,,finally the key was found in the grass on the site and returned to him!!!

The importance of the forgotten item always increases dramatically when it is forgotten.
We - ok well I forgot my camera one year - we went back for that (Well I was driving! and couldnt do without that. We arrived with at the ferry with seconds to spare!)
Teabags and sugar was the next years item. ( I dont drink the stuff so wasnt bothered)
This year was the tv remote control! OMG!!!! (again I werent bothered!!)
We keep our caravan stocked up with everything including bedding, towels, etc, I wash them & put them straight back in, the only thing we have to remember is clothes, so far Hubby has forgotten his pants and I've forgotten my pyjamas, good excuse to buy new stuff though, I'm thinking of deliberately forgetting my coat next time.....
The face my Missus pulled, parked in Portsmouth the night before the ferry, just checking the passports ; priceless.
Brittany Ferries were ace and the Spanish weren't going to turn away anyone with a full wallet this year, so everything went ahead in the end. A little tense though.
The final flourish was the UK jobsworth at Portsmouth on the way home, trying to lecture us.
Hubby was to pack up then collect me from work as ususal then we would set off for the weekend. Got there and I unpacked and he had forgotten! ? ? to put in my pyjamas! Did him no good though cos Matalan wasn't far away and I got to buy some more.
we are have only done 3 trips in the van so far but hubby being helpfull put all the cloths in the wardrobe for me at home. what a kind man then we drove all the way to scotland to fined he had left the key for the wardrobe at home in the kitchen and all ourcloths were locked away. that poor old van had manedged to keep its cupboard key for25+ years till hubby got it lol

It's nice to be important but its more important to be nice
my hubby leaves it all to me so its his own fault if something isnt there ,luckily im good with things like that ,but its amazing how many times he says did you not pack me this jumper or this jacket,i have many talents but psychic isnt one of them,if he wants these things he needs to pack them himself, did go on a cruise once only to find i had packed everything needed for any function but the only bra i had was the one i had on !!!!silly me
This last trip to Ashbourne I seemed to forget everything - Im normally a list maniac but I think I relied too much on stuff being left in the caravan.
I forgot the kids pillows as up until then we had just taken the ones from their beds - so the first night I gave ours to the children & we slept on the caravan cushions in pillow slips & had to make a trip to dunelm mill the next day - but at least they now have 'caravan' pillows.
I promised OH an M&S Tex Mex meal on the Friday night as he went to work as norm that day from the caravan - & actually forgot to go to M&S at all.
I forgot my socks, any jumpers or sweatshirts for myself - there was a Next closeby must remember to forget stuff like that again!!
OHs red wine - I replaced that before he noticed that could've got me into trouble on a Bank Holiday!!
And lots of other little bits and pieces which I had left in the caravan and OH had helpfully removed!!!
i also do it the other way round, put the caravan back in storage and leave things like,,,,the house keys !!! husbands wallet, and other must take home stuff !!!!
