Good luck I hope you have towed before. If not I suggest you get a little training. Its a tough day tomorrow for towing especially with the weather. My second caravan was a Sprinter 400d, Loved it. Bought it from the NEC there was 2 dealers selling them and played them against each other. Got a bargain they chucked in an NR awning, in the end I asked for the top one (executive) + a bedroom annexe. They went out of business shortly after. If this is your first then for a budget van you wont be disappointed. I hate to harp on about experienced towing but I had a very very nasty snake with this van but managed to come out of it virtually unscathed. The problem was the loading of the van its design was such that the gas bottles are over the axle this gives the van unloaded a very light nose weight which can be a problem for towing. You will be collecting tomorrow so ask the dealer to ensure you have a 75KG nose weight and you wont have a problem - good luck and enjoy

with a limited inventory
We have just purchased a KIP Kompakt and will be collecting from the dealer on the 31st January!
Having never towed before I don't plan on going too far on the first go, will definately be investing in some 'proper' training before venturing particuarly far!

We bought our 'van from Peter Roberts too. Lovely firm to deal with, nothing is too much trouble. We have ours serviced with them too - we have been looked after very well over the last few years and wouldn't go anywhere else to buy a 'van. We hae compelte trust in them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Congratulations on your new van. We've only had ours since late last year but managed to get away 3 times in it. I remember we were so excited about it and couldn't wait to take it out we packed a flask of coffee and went down to the storage yard and sat in it having a brew . Our first outing we went with friends who showed us the ropes (water/waste/leveling etc) but on our second outing we went to M & S, bought one of the meal deals for 2, cracked open a bottle of champagne which someone bought me for my birthday and had a very lovely weekend .
We have camped for a number of years and found that the majority of our camping gear has fitted in well with the caravan so have had to buy very little. (awning/water hog/waste).
Isn't Peter Roberts' a fantastic dealer? Nothing was too much trouble, took ages explaining everything to two newbies, answered questions very patiently
"Here's a new nose weight guage, here's a new groundsheet, here's a set of levelling ramps, we'll replace the electronics in the mover, as it didn't work first time, here's a bigger new battery, here's a new wheel lock, you want some more pegs? Here you are." Lovely coffee too.
It was a bit windy coming home, not too bad though, the Megane pulled like a train, went up a 12% hill in 5th gear, only 50 miles or so, but 48mpg!! I did take one wrong turning (I blame the navigator, love her though ) managed a turn around in a petrol station. Had to do a bit of reversing in the storage yard made a bit of a horlicks of it . Have to wait a couple of weeks before first usage, perhaps we'll take a flask down to the yard as suggested.

It sounds as if you've had a really good day. I'd certainly be taking a flask down - and even a bottle and a couple of glasses. Bet you can't wait to get out in it now.

Our van is in storage and we always take a flask and drink it in the van, mad i know
when we got our 1st van we took it to clumber park to try it out & practice putting up the awning-- we could have sold seats --but no offers of advice-- in desperation we phoned dad & said the fish & chip van comes tonight do you want to join us- he came over from sheffield & although nearly 80 he had it up in no time wish we could say the 2 of us anaged it as good the times we did it-- Lilian
