Hi Michael, I think it is still against the law to park works vans at home on streets overnight (commercial vehicles parked in residential areas), and I think there is also something to do with insurance, insurance companies when insuring these vans, are insured,(as in secure yard or compound area out with normal working hours), not sure if this is still the case though, suspect it still maybe.

there are restrictions for hgv ( part of o licence conditions) light commercials no restrictions. my van is insured where ever it is parked, they did ask where it is normally parked at night just as they do with a car.

Hi trevlunar, interesting about light commercial vans, I was thinking transit type van up wards, is there a size or tonnage limit to these light commercial vans?

If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
