my Dad's parents took their cat on hols when he was little and he came back every single day until the last day when he didn't show up. My grandparents had to leave and they couldn't find him and had to leave him. Heartbreaking - it really upset Dad.

My two stay at home and the neighbours look after them and my plants. I think our one would happily come because he follows us all over the place but I just dare not risk it. My other one just leaves home if we go away as he doesn't get let in as often then turns up a day or two after we get back as a rule. Worries me to death but he is a roamer and a hunter.
