"Ordinarily, and with the locking wheel nut proudly on display, this wouldn't be a problem BUT, the wheel nut isn't proud of the wheel. It's down a bit of a tube and, as a consequence could turn out to be a bu at at er of a job."
Exactly the same issue we had on our folding camper. I had to run our camper down to a local garage and they had to take the drum and wheel off in a one'r and strip everything off from the back to the front, if that makes sense, to get the locking stud out. Never put locking ones on again.

How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Just to let you know, our wheels on the sterling eccles are the the same. You need a man that can, as locking wheel nuts for caravans are different than cars. Would have gone to a dealer to have them removed but the price difference between dealer an local garage was over £100.

The 'van is in a storage compound 50miles from my home. That's one hell of a long way to ask the man to do it.
I could borrow the kit but, Having looked at it I wasn't confident that the contants would go down the hole where the nut is. Fine had it have been on the surface but not down the recessed hole.
I have looked on EBay and there is a type there that I think will do the job.
Unfortunately the type I have seen with a thin sleeve and what appears to be a left hand thred on the inside is one of two sizes and I don't know (yet) which size it is.
I've asked the mobile man to have a look and report back. He in turn is going to speak to the local dealer.

hi there i had this problem on my car we brought and it was suggested that we get one of those reverse thread sockets. we picked two up ( different diametres) and found them to be very simple to use and had all 4 locking nuts off in under 10 mins only problem then was to replace the nuts that was removed which in our haste we forgot to get doh! we picked ours up off ebay for around £10 and must say they have been a sound investment ( had a few friends with the same predicament we had lol) alternative way we was told was to weld a bolt onto the nut and remove it that way hope this is of help and good luck!
------------- even caravan owners need loving so please be patient when behind me! do forgive me for driving so close to the front of your car!!
If you have to remove it yourself tighten the none locking nuts first as tight as you can ( without snapping them ) this reduces the pressure on the locking wheel nut. Basically easier to remove. (I know ive dunit) then try the socket method.
The OP has said the bolt is recessed in the wheel, so he will not be able to weld a bolt onto it and I doubt if he will be able to get a reverse thread socket on it either.

None of the above bright ideas by the 'Hammer a socket on it' brigade work, and have not worked on proper locking wheel nuts like you describe since they started putting a spinning ring on them. A socket, a halfords laser, etc will not work.
you need to contact someone like http://www.lockingwheelnutremoval.com/ and they will put you in touch with someone in your area.
For most of us, the " Man that can, with big hammer and socket" is still applicable. Now the question is which Caravans are now fitted with the alternate system.

I have been in this situation twice in the past - not on a caravan - and I have called out the mobile kwik-fit guys. I know its not their usual function, but once they are satisfied that there is nothing illegal going on, they can get the job done for you. As my problems were both at my home I had no trouble explaining the reason for my call and I cant fault them!
Can you post a picture to clarify what it is you need to do? you mentioned Al-ko in the original post is it an actual wheel retaining locking nut or a Al-ko security lock fitted to the wheel? if so what make and model as the latter can be extremely difficult to remove without causing damage to the wheel rim.
