Yep they are. Admittedly you can find the odd deal from Lidl and the like (as mentioned). I might have just been un-lucky, as I found the one I got last year about as good as a bucket without a bottom.

I bought a C-Tek MXS 5.0 and it's been superb. This is a better model than in my previous link as it performs (as an option) and full recondition cycle of the battery too if necessary, plus monitors the charge rate and optimises the battery for best performance.

I'm sure the Lidl and Aldi's offering are good devices, but I advise as I find.

Thank you G7ACU that's the exact one he was looking at the 8 step one so maybe i'll just have to agree to him spending yet more money
