We did the same asyou fife bloke a couple of years ago, still miss our caravan
We tried a trailer tent and a tent since, but sold them as its just not as comfy. We will definately get another when we are able. Its just so expensive now with the costs of petrol and everything.

Another virtually midge-free place is Kintyre - but it's a long long drive!
----------------------------------------------------
Depends which side of the peninsula you are on, we were there in August on the east side and they were plentiful.
Typical west coast, mind you we drove up the west side and it was very windy which will keep them away.

well it would seem our caravan days are ove.we asked the 2 older kids today what they wanted a new caravan or a trip to florida.they unanimously voted for florida so if we book that our money will prety much be gone.ok its a trip of a lifetime but it will take us ages to get that cash back in the bank again.
finance is no option for us so looks like all we have now is memories.
ill stay on the site though,we may well invest in a tent instead

Sooooo, no Florida now then with your new purchase lol!
Ali
Lol no Florida is out the window now ali but I have no regrets at all and tbh the look on the kids faces today when we viewed the van justified our decision. They were delighted
