I think you need a little patience with newbies in all walks, whether new to camping/caravanning, vehicle ownership or whatever interest they are getting into for the first time..even to forums themselves.
If a newbie does ask a question without giving enough information, you usually notice the members gently coaxing the extra info out of them over subsequent posts in order to give them an informed opinion.

Personally I don't mind coaxing info out of folk; it's all to easy to criticise but we're all different and some can simply just be naive at posting on forums or using t'internet generally.

My only minor gripe is when a user asks for help ... then you never hear from the again. It could be useful to other users if a member could at least have the courtesy to feedback on an issue instead of just disappearing into the ether.

Remember too, the button above which most folk never seem to consider before posting the umpteenth query of the same topic.
