i had a similar problem when my caravan came back from service, the led light for the booster was on, but it was very dim, turned out the booster had failed but to the un- trained eye it would have looked as though everything was working properly.
put on a new booster and everything fine.

I just remembered we had a signal booster fail at less than a year old and could not watch anything. I realised right away what was wrong as we were on a site were reception was always good! Replaced under warranty.

thankyou all, the caravan is at the bottom of our garden, of which is obviously lower than all the houses and the garage, so that could be the problem.

I will check existing cables and then re-check my co-ax cable, if no joy, I will leave it until we our away, and see what happens.

We intend on getting a sat dish, we have the free-sat receiver, that is used in house.

The Omni-directionals are far better since digital switchover, but there are some quirks with the coax plug fitted to the cables which will cause issue.

If you dismantle all the plug fittings, look for a small screw that secures the inner part of the fitting to the inner conductor of the coax cable. If there is a screw (it will be thru a white plastic sleeve), take it out and chuck it away. The head of the screws can short to the barrel of the plug and cause signal loss.

Given the comments you mention on location, this doesn't sound ideal conditions for TV reception though, although I'd suggest you check the fittings while you can.
Finally, the Status booster/powerpack can be temperamental and I wouldn't rule out the chance of this having failed, despite the LED being on.
