The spec states "flat trim or alloy wheel", so will be ok ...

What does flat trim mean. ....sorry if that's dim

Sorry CatieB, it simply means the design of wheel trim that aren't too 'bulbous'. Some protrude out from the wheel quite a bit, but to be fair the great majority are relatively flat enough (bit of a convex curve ok) to be alright for use with the Bulldog clamps. The inside face of the clamp has a rubber pad to protect the trim from scuffs etc., and my clamps fits quite snug and secure with little movement to it's fitting.

The Alko Secure fittings are indeed for Alko chassis and alloy wheel's, although I think this has already been clarified. As you mentioned in your opening post that your van has steel wheels, then this lock isn't an option as you've sussed out.

Alko wheel lock on one side with a wheel lock, bulldog on the other, Alko hitch lock, and a couple of steady locks and other little devices which are easy to take off but designed to make it look like a real pain in the behind to nick.

Alko secure lock gets my vote, easy to fit and knocked £130 off my insurance too.

From the link it appears these are for vans with alko chassis and alloys wheels, neither of which I have.. Am I wrong?

Sorry, should have read your OP more thoroughly.
