As to storage, we have our van a couple of miles from home and are often to be found between trips sat on the storage site with a brew (we can leave the gas bottle attached on our site) and a sarnie doing needless jobs, just because even there we are a million miles away from the day to day stresses of life
Hope you and the family make many wonderful memories in your new home from home
He he!! That sounds so much like me!!

Congratulations, I know how excited you must be!!!! We collected our new van last Thursday having come over from the otherside!!!! We spent the easter break in Lincolnshire and had to leave the van with the dealer on Monday to sort out a few snags. We collected it this morning and are now on a site in Suffolk, all toasty and warm. Even with faffing about trying to get the van level it was 45 minutes from arrival to first cup of tea. That was bed remade and clothes hung.
A tent arrived at the same time as us, they were also pitched just slightly longer than 45 minutes but an hour later were still doing air beds and carrying stuff in from the trailer..... memories, memories. We would never have gone away for 2 nights with the tent.

yeehah...well done mad mum. We had ours delivered yesterday and it looks much bigger in the drive way than i remembered...oh well, if it comes to it I'll have to find storage. Think I'll get the heater on and have a couple of beers in it tonight, neighbours will think i'm nuts..lol
Completely with you there!!! And why not??!! We were saying how posh our one is, it is better than the house! The children's beds even have headboards which is something we still haven't sorted out here!!

That is me all over p at ul!! When I get an idea it has to be carried out straight away! Poor hubbie, he never knows where he is at times, lol!!!
Savanne- we already have all our hols booked up for this year so it has been a case of ringing them all to check the original pitches are suitable for a caravan. Luckily they all are!
We are going away to a nice site called Tanner Farm Park. That will be our first trip in the caravan, provided I have my tow car sorted by then. Frantically looking right now ..... Hubbie has just informed me it is down a very long and narrow country lane. Marvelllous! Cue MadMum getting a serious sweat on!!

The chap that sold me van has told me we can always store in his field for free if we like...sounds like a good deal to me, bearing in mind ya need a tank to get em in 'n' out.
Congratulations! We had a trailer tent 7 years ago and loved it but the setting up was a killer esp as my dd was a baby. We then bought a caravan from a friend and have loved all our time away in it. We are now sitting here waiting to leave to pick up our new one at 9.30!I'm so very excited!!
Oh Tanner farm? Goudhurst, it's one of my fave sites with the caravan, it's lovely there isn't it. We live in Kent so we often just pop up there for a quiet weekend just to get away. That the beauty of a caravan, you can go for quick weekends as the setting up is so much better than a tent, I've never looked back, can't see me under canvas again , except in the awning if its raining having a glass of wine.
Congrats on your van , have fun, might see you out and about :)

murano, we have never been to Tanner before but it looks lovely and I have heard great things. It is part of the Best of British, as is Broadhembury in Ashford. Have you been there? that's lovely too!
Wine sounds good to me!!! I may well bump into you at Tanner Farm someday! Would be lovely!

We are often at tanner farm for quick weekends, it's lovely, do need a car for getting to other places, and atm it's being refurbed a bit, changing the entrance to it, weve just come back from there two weeks ago, bit it really is a lovely site, nice and clean, and the pitches are all nice and spaced out, nice walks and things, it's one of our faves for just getting away and chilling out.
Probably will bump into sometime, I'm the crazy lady with two poodles lol.
