I have just purchase a powrtouch motor mover, I gave powrtouch technical dept a call before buying, even though I was not buying it direct from them.
They were very helpful and asked me to do a couple of measurements which I did and they confirmed there would not be a problem. Also asked make, year and was it an alko chassis, which it is.
If you have decided which make of motor mover you want I would give their tech dept a phonecall if possible,I find some dealers/fitters don't really know what they are talking about and use bluff at our expense..

Yeah the guy I been speaking to owns a caravan store so pretty sure he knows how to fit lol.
Well he's going to service and clean up the powrtouch for me to make like new.
He said he can do 375 fitted. £50 for new rollers if I want them as its been used "might get new seeing as its getting a revamp" and battery for £90. I've offer £500 for all you think that's a good price
Its difficult to say about any used item but powrtouch get well reviewed on here and other sites.
Brand new powrtouch single axle heavy duty is on sale at Riversway Leisure Ltd for £599 if you fit it yourself, comes with 5 years parts warranty.
I paid £749 including fitting at my home and get 5yrs parts and labour warranty.
Not taking into account the cost of a new battery if you need one.
So you would be saving £99 diy price or £250 fitted price on a new one, only you can make that decision to buy used.

Yeah it's one of them things. It only have a very small job to do 180 degree turn onto my drive from road and then a few meters up my drive which has a slight slope. That's it really unless a awkward site when we go away
We are in a similar position, we have a 1-4 slope on drive then 3-4" each side to spare between house gable and garden wall. All in the caravan has to travel about 60ft to back of garden. Motor mover will make life so much easier when moving the van at home to hitch up and unhitch.
