Yes that's the route we've gone down a full proper awning for summer hols and 1 week or more stays and a lightweight porch awning for shorter long weekend type trips . We also have an Isabella magnum for when we can't make our minds !
We had the same problem Isabella Magnum came down the window, Ventura full awning did not fit the new van, so as we did not want scratch marks down the window we part ex both and purchased an Isabella Universal 420 which fits nicely.

Other than the fact that it will probably leave scratches down the window unless you have the option to purchase the rear support poles but then you can't peg it tight up against the side of the caravan and will end up with a draft blowing through instead . If you don't use rear support poles the awning edge will flap about making an irritating noise in high wind . I would advise against going over the window tbh .
Hi Greenhill
I will be on the Kampa stand all next week so if you want good honest advise look me up. You can check what people think of me in the camping side of the forum.
The quality of the Rally Pro (air or std) is so good many people don't evem bother with a full awning.
On a side note, measure the full length of your flat roof space as there is a 520 as well, it takes very little longer to put up then the 390 but gives you loads of space, yes you need a lot of flat roof space but maybe it would work for you.
Cheers

Gary, do you know if there will be an air fiesta, rally pro 390, and rally ace on display?
One of my concerns about not having a full canvas one in France was having some shade for any hot weather we might be lucky enough to have. I've since had the idea of getting a ground anchor for a parasol so means a 350/390 lightweight awning is the preferred current option.

Yes there will be all of the above on show and more. Look me up if you would as there will be 3 other retailers on the stand as well and I would love to be able to help you out.
The Rally Air awnings are great and so popular but I have to say I love the simplicity of the Fiesta Air and the fact you can get an annexe for sleeping in or for extra storage. The Ace is one of the best pole and sleeve awnings on the market that's for sure.

Having spent hours at the NEC considering all our options we decided to stretch the budget and buy the kampa rally air pro 390, the one I'd really wanted.
Thanks for your help Gary
Also thanks to the couple who've had one of these for a year and told us all about it.
