Cost. I get to do about 5 weeks away plus many weekends in the van per year for what my friends pay for a week in spain during school hols.

Freedom of camping especially for families, with added comfort of lovely warm comfortable beds and on board loo. (always hated going to toilets in the morning at 6.00am) Also the fact that the weather isn't as detrimental (within reason) to the success of your holiday/break. We changed from tents last year and its brilliant. Wife says she wouldn't be able to go back now!

Freedom in my own little home from home.
I absolutely LOVE my little old caravan and wouldn't change her for the world.
She is functional, giving me a warm and cosy place to eat, relax and sleep.

I love so many things! Going away every weekend, it's like playing in a giant Wendy House, it's so cosy, me and my dogs can sit outside in the sunshine but get snug with the TV when it's cold and rainy. Oh I just love it. My caravan is 21 and she is beautiful and all mine (not sure my husband and son are quite so enthusiastic as me but they love it too).

I love the fact its mine and I can take it anywhere I fancy without worrying about having a nasty hotel room.

Whilst I loved camping its nice not having to put the thing up when you get there.

They are wonderful things to own.
