Your budget is fine but you can't be too Choosey about layouts etc. I bought my van because it was £1500 dry and in fab condition. Cost£45 to get a damp report, I then got it serviced for £160 and 3 new tyres for £150. The van is 4 berth which I needed but only 4m body, I really wanted a bigger van but for £1500 you need to take a good van when you find it otherwise somebody else will. Your much better to have a nice dry van that maybe doesn't tick all your boxes than a damp than that does. Keep looking you will find what your looking for but I would not consider dealers at that price keep looking privately.
yes that's it, it gets easy to be put off, I have made enquiries about a caravan only 500 ono will take a damp meter with me and take it from there with only paying 500 ono I wont be getting a engineer as its only for a trail to see if we like it then either bin the van or trade it in, I think its better for us than hiring at the moment, if I was going to pay over 500 I would get an engineer out but for that much doesn't seam worth it
