Ye 've done what a lot of people on here have done and gone from camping to a caravan. The only difference is that I'm single without kids (thank god) so I had plenty of choice.
I eventually went for a 4 berth, the reason being that I could leave the side dinette down as a bed permanently as a bed and use the front seating area for lounging around.
It also means that I can loan the van to family members when they require (parents love going to Lake District)
thankyou everyone for your replies, going sunday and monday to view vans, having towbar fitted next week, not sure wether to have towbar fitted with alko fitting or not, as it seems most vans now have an alko hitch
Yes go for 13 pin, can always get an adaptor if you need a twin socket.

Weight should be ok ( just I think ) depends on the power rating of your car

thanks, just found out that it a tad heavy, 96% ratio. bit stumped now on what i can tow safely as most caravans seem to be similar weight on 4 berths :(
