G7ACU I to have the whale pump pressuised system and have found the pump would not stop when tap shut but other times works perfect.
I turned adjustment on valve shown in your post anti clockwise and pump shut off.
I pushed all pipe connections hard in to make sure no leaks.
About 2 months later same thing pump would not stop after double checking everything I found top vent on hot water heater was sticking open. this is a tee piece which lets hot water out one way and vents air out otherway, ball valve is supposed to shut when water reaches this point.
I found the tiniest minute bit of dirt prevented the ball from closing, hence the pump kept pumping water out through this vent.
Now every time I set water barrels and pump up I give tee piece a gently tap with plastic handle of screwdriver if pump fails to stop.
