I can't cool the fridge overnight so I put any fridge food essentials in a cool box with 3 or 4 ice packs. Never had a problem.

We stopped taking food because most of it came back. What you take is never what we feel like eating.

Firstly a well chilled fridge will be fine, we go from Plymouth to Roscoff and have never had an issue.

Secondly our first chore, after setting up etc, is Super U. They sell lots of food there, however for some strange reason SWMBO thinks the fridge is for food.......She must be out of her mind!

White wine is the only thing other than food that belongs in the fridge. Proper beer is served at ambient temperature.
Cheese also tastes much better at ambient temperature
