We have a 2014 Avante 540.
Been away with it several times and had no major issues. Small things though, the towel rail fell off the back wall (but this may have been helped along it's way by the kids) and the base to one of the front lounge seats broke at the hinge (again, probably more my fault for not completely removing the cushion).
Apart from that we love the van. It is toasty warm in winter with the heater and spacious enough for the 4 of us.
It is our first caravan so haven't really got a comparison to make against other modern vans.
