Thank you all. The caravan has a 1 year warranty. No dispute with the dealer. If I have not received a letter/ invoice by next week, I will follow it up elsewhere.

Presumably they charge VAT on a 2nd hand caravan. They must provide a VAT receipt by law.

Their letter headings and the receipt you have will show a VAT registration number.

Sounds very odd.
