You could also do with getting your towbar and car checked if you've had a shunt. It can cause some damage.

Get a quote for having it fixed by a caravan repairer.

Phone the OP with the quote.

If he agrees it ... good result.

If he doesn't you could offer a second solution: you do the repairs, and quote him a lesser figure.

Otherwise you try to fight it through his insurance.

Re your car, Gloucester Folder's advice is sound.
