Some properties carry some sort of restriction to prevent caravans being parked there even if not in use. It may be in covenants .

We live in a house rented from a housing association, and we keep our caravan on one of our parking bays, which is effectively in our front garden. It has been there for 4 years so far. We have lived here for 25 years and get on very well with all our neighbours. None of them have said anything about it being parked there, and neither has the housing association, but in all probability it would only take one complaint and we may have to move it.

That would probably be the case for many people, and someone living in a caravan in a garden, even a back garden, may just be enough for a complaint to be made. The consequences of that would be anyone's guess.

Yeah we have been looking at all different ones I know the layout we would like just got to find one within a budget, we are looking for a decent but cheap for our first caravan to see if we are actually going to lie it then get a lovely one. Do you know any caravan dealers around the Surrey area that I can go in and talk to?

+1 for Michael Jordan Caravans in Gomshall

As i mentioned, have a look in there to get a feel for what you can get for your money and how you feel about layouts and....leave

Dealers are just that, they dont have your interests at heart, but they do have a lot of caravans. oh and if you buy one make sure it comes with all accessories like battery, water holder, waste holder etc as occasionally some sell them seperately
