it does take a fair bit of effort to engage both sides at once.. half the effort to do each side separately..

i often wish mine were separate.. i use one of those extendable wheel spanner things with plenty of length..

the only real advantage with doing both sides at once is if you cant get at both sides of the van..

doing one side easily and then walking around the van and doing the other side easily could well be the better option for some people..
