Fiamma levellers with chocks for me! don't need the hassle of the alko wheel lock and got a BPW chassis anyway. I have a Nemesis wheel clamp from when we had the MH which I use along with a hitchlock and Milenco leg locks, works for me

Why do they call it a lock n level when it appears to be just a levelling airbag and I assume you would have to buy a separate lock?

Absolutely totally agree with you, the Alko lock is a total hassle, BUT some insurers insist on it if the van has the receptacle on the chassis, and most give a pretty hefty discount on premium if fitted, plus it is one of the most effective locks available.

Still don't like the blasted things, they turn a simple parking task let alone levelling into a right royal pain!

I agree, My new caravan came complete with an Alco wheel lock but I had to tell my insurance that I'm not able to use it at home, there was a big increase in premium but I paid as it is impossible to fit the Alco.. I park my caravan nearly touching a fence behind it, I can not move it back 5mm and if I move it forwards it will start to block the pavement. I now use an easier lock.

-------------
We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
